Another space trip
by Natalia Holvova

One of the most important human acts of the last century was man walking on the moon. Space is something so attractive and unknown. It is like a magnet for our perception. The infinity of space is fascinating and we are doing just very small steps to prove we can see and get to know at least small part of its endless galaxies and stars configurations. Specially 60's were full of space trips and amazing discovers. The whole world used to carefully watch space news and nobody wanted to miss a thing. I think everybody knows a quote John F. Kennedy has said the day Neil Armstrong made his first touch with untouched space element: "It's small step for a man but giant leap for human mankind." There are plenty of movies aimed at space missions, saving our planet against huge asteroid vectored directly to the Earth. When I am looking on the night sky I always feel so small and realize how small I know how little I mean... NASA is working so hard to develop safe and incorruptible spacecraft able to get as much information and pictures of the space objects and effects as possible. The next huge project is Mercury, the closest planet to the sun. Scientists developed special spacecraft called MESSANGER which will become Mercury's orbital station in 2011. Till then it will make three different trips to Mercury to get information of the planet conditions, the surface and its core. This is very important moment in NASA discovery history because last spacecraft fly-by Mercury was not made since 1975.
