Nuclear power rather than any other source of energy
by Daniela Simkova

Building a nuclear power station is long lasting matter. It takes approximately ten years, what is too long in comparison to any other energy station. People wanted to stop with producing the nuclear power, but is it possible if the oil prices keep increasing? Or how about the issue of the effect of the global warming? The facts that oil prices are around 100 dollars a barrel and the effect of carbon on global warming reopened the discussion on pros and benefits of the production of nuclear power, which produces only a little carbon dioxide. Of course the nuclear power has also the negatives. Except of the long lasting construction of the station, the nuclear power station creates an enormous amount of the radioactive waste that is difficult to store safely. In spite of all the negatives, "the world" is supporting its production. Britain wants to built new nuclear power generator plant as well as some of the Mediterranean countries: Egypt, Morocco, Algeria and Lybia, which said that it would be their first building of the nuclear power plant. France offered the collaboration to some of the countries. For example, Areva, a French nuclear power group, is building a nuclear power plant in Finland. On the other hand, there are still some countries which don't want to restart producing of the nuclear power. Italy stopped the generation of the nuclear power in 1987, and Germany plans to stop entire production by 2020.
