by Sandra Stoklaskova

American experts think that humanity is endangered by non-functional spy satellite that is loaded with toxic fuel. This satellite is going to enter Earth's atmosphere just in couple of days and US is afraid that fuel called hydrazine could injure or even kill people who are near it, when it hits the ground. That is why U.S. government approved a plan of shooting the satellite down, next week. It could looks like a sequence from Hollywood science fiction film, but it is true. They are planning to smash it as soon as next week, even before it enters Earth's atmosphere. There are also some problems with this mission, as last year also China accomplished anti-satellite test , which was criticized by U.S. and other countries, too. Hence, U.S. officials have begun notifying other countries of the plan. Moreover, they don't want the rest of the world think, that this is a start of new American anti-satellite weapons program. They are defending with the words: "This is all about trying to reduce the danger to human beings. Specifically, there was enough of a risk for the president to be quite concerned about human life," said Deputy National Security Adviser James Jeffrey. Vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. James Cartwright predicted a high chance about 80 percent of hitting the satellite, which could be in a distance around 150 miles, when the shot is fired. "We will take one shot and assess. This is the first time, we have used a tactical missile to engage a spacecraft," he said.
